Suggestion for sealing PCR plate

To seal a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) plate, follow these steps:

  1. After adding the PCR reaction mix to the wells of the plate, place a sealing film or mat on the plate to prevent evaporation and contamination.
  2. Make sure the sealing film or mat is properly aligned with the wells and securely attached to the plate.
  3. If using a sealing film, press down on the film with a flat object (such as a pipette tip box) to ensure a tight seal.
  4. If using a silicone mat, make sure it clicks into place and that it fits snugly on the plate.
  5. Label the sealed plate with the necessary information, such as the sample ID, date, and experiment name.
  6. Store the sealed PCR plate in the appropriate storage conditions, depending on the experiment’s requirements.

It is important to properly seal a PCR plate to prevent evaporation of reaction components, contamination from outside sources, and to maintain the integrity of the reaction.
